Comfortable Stays with Warm Indian Hospitality

My colleague and I travelled to New Delhi during the first week of December, 2025 to attend “The twentieth session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage”. I was worried about the air pollution. We also had to be mindful of our budget. I have known Jatin ji since 2020, just before COVID Pandemic when he drove us around the golden triangle of New Delhi-Agra-Jaipur. I called Jatin and he offered for us to stay at his Suman Homestay. We took up his offer and we never regretted it! Each of us had a big clean bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, complete with hot water geyser. Every morning, Priti - Jatin’s wife would prepare a yummy Indian breakfast and hot black tea plus fruits. To save time from queuing up at the Conference Venue in the Red Fort, Priti prepared our lunch box. My colleague and I had a picnic under the tree every day under the jealous eyes of the passers by. Priti would also cook us dinner, if we did not go out. Jatin introduced us to Mugan, who would drive us to the venue every morning. Mugan stayed calm and simply smiled in the middle of the other cars’ continuous loud honking! The conversation and laughter we had with Jatin and Priti made Suman HomebythePark our home away from home in New Delhi. We will certainly go back and recommend it to our family and friends.
